  • Audio Dramas

– The Ek Saath Campaign’s audio stories titled ‘Naye Daur Ki Nayi Baatein’ or New Conversations in a New Age bring together issues of gender, corona and social justice. It picks up conversations among men on how to deal with the way the world has changed in the wake of the corona epidemic.

The set of 25 audio dramas in Hindi address the intersections between the corona epidemic and the evolving health, survival and gender challenges faced by women, girls, boys, men and families. Each short audio episode deals with an issue of immediate and daily concern to communities. The capsules are informative, thought-provoking, and encourage social solidarity and community action safely.

The stories of Sohan, Komal, Rahman and others tackle issues ranging from domestic violence to early marriage and suicides, offering a compass to men and women in the troubled times of corona. They are being heard in communities in states across the country, encouraging and motivating active changes in the way the pandemic is being handled.

Over a period of a year, every month new Samanta Saathis get together in small groups and listen to an audio episode and discuss it. The modules deal with gender, gender based violence, understanding masculinities, and sexualities and health. The sections are ‘Kahani Khazana’ or Treasure of Stories , ‘Baaton Ka Pitara’ or a Chest-full of Conversation ‘Achhi Baat Sab ke Saath’ or Good Things Discussed With All and ‘Jawab Do’ or Quiz, with episodes like ‘Ulta Pulta’ or ‘Topsy Turvy’ that deals with a new gender order and ‘Insaaf ki Mandi’ or ‘In the Market for Justice’ that weighs gender roles.
